Murphy Young was formed in 1998 as a construction and engineering consultancy specialising in commercial property work.
In 1999 Murphy Young expanded to undertaking design and build of commercial property schemes.
In 2000 the group developed metering and billing services designed specifically for commercial properties.
In 2001 the group began acquisition of commercial properties for conversion and operation as business centres.
The group continued to expand its property portfolio, construction project work and utility management services.
In 2006 the group formed ARCA Business Centres as a joint venture with two other property organisations to design, develop and operate uniquely remotely managed business centres.
In 2008 the group sold a portfolio of its business centres for £13million.
The group continued to acquire and develop commercial properties and has expanded its utility operations.
In 2009 the group launched viewthispropertynow.com a web marketing tool utilising the latest facilities to give prospective tenants a chance to view a property from their own PC immediately.
In 2010 the group launched a new suite of computer programs for the management of utilities in commercial properties. The group utility activities include meter reading, remote meter reading services, billing services, utility systems designs and installations, on-line tenant services, utility purchase management and continues to expand.
