Work Starts On New Island Bakery
Murphy Young is delighted to have been appointed as the Main Contractor for
the construction of a new bakery on the Isle of Mull in Scotland. The bakery
will specialise in the production of organic biscuits and with an excellent
product range the new facility will help expand the business's ever growing
customer base. The development has been designed to be environmentally
friendly with electricity from a private hydro electric scheme and heat from
a new wood chip boiler plant.

Brewery Extension Completed
Murphy Young has completed the new brewery extension at Belhaven Brewery
in Dunbar. The project was for the design and build of a modern building extension
to house all new brewing tanks and apparatus for Belhaven's production process.
The new building is attached to the existing original listed brewery property and
integrates with both the buildings around and brewing processes.
The work was completed in a very restricted area requiring piling and major
steelwork. The final structure is over 2 floors housing production tanks and with
full height curtain walling.
