Murphy Young aquires 19,000sqft high spec office in Tannochside, near Glasgow

Murphy Young Property announces acquisition of a 19,000sqft office building on the popular Tannochside Business Park. Murphy Young will create a new business centre (Ellismuir House Business Centre), which will offer modern office suites to both new and growing businesses. The property will accommodate up to 20 businesses and some units are available immediately. Group Director Glenn Murphy is confident that the latest Murphy Young investment will mirror the success achieved at 9 other locations in Central Scotland and the North of England. Ellismuir House will provide offices from one/two person size to larger corporate requirements totalling just over 15000sqft of lettable space with excellent common facilities. It is anticipated that following reconstruction, all of the suites will be ready for occupation in spring 09, but some are available immediately with early incentives.
First ARCA opens
First ARCA Business Centre Opens in Coatbridge

The first ARCA Business Centre has opened in North Lanarkshire. The building designed and built by Murphy Young includes remote management systems to offer the most competative high spec SME business space. The centre will be managed by Murphy Young.

June 2008Murphy Young pleased to announce the sale of a business centre it developed in Livingston. The property was acquired by Murphy Young as a void at the end of 2007 and demonstrates Murphy Young's ability to rapidly develop a working business centre. Murphy Young has moved into larger new offices within the centre.
Sale of property portfolio
£11m sale of business centre portfolio by Murphy Young to Highcross

Murphy Young has announced the sale of a portfolio of business centres for just over £11m to HX Bugatti Property Investments Limited, part of Highcross, the privately owned fund manager. The sale includes contracts for Murphy Young to undertake various construction projects. Bizpsace the business centre operator owned by Highcross will manage the centres. Murphy Young has undertaken the development of numerous business centres and has an ongoing development programme including the construction of a portfolio of remotely managed business centres as part of its ARCA joint venture company and various other property acquisitions. The Murphy Young Group will in December relocate to a newly acquired headquarters building in Livingston that will also provide business centre space. Glenn Murphy group director of Murphy Young said, “The sale of the portfolio is a landmark for our group whereby we can realise the hard efforts of all our staff. We are looking at a number of future investments and will continue to build on our provision and management of business space.”
ARCA Business Centres - Joint Venture
Murphy Young has entered a joint venture with Westmarch Estates, Lochay Investments and James Keiler to develop a portfolio of new business centres

Murphy Young has joined with a group of other property companies to develop and manage a portfolio of new build business centres. Sites have initially been acquired across Scotland and each will consist of a 13,000sqft two storey building with private parking. The buildings will be equipped with VoIP phones systems, access controls and fully cabled for local area networking. Suites will range is size from +3000sqft down to under 500sqft and will be offered on both flexible and longterm deals.
